UO Smart Beam Laser Projector

$459.97

Celluon takes a slightly more humble route, bragging only about its PicoPro’s ability to fit in your pocket, but SK Telecom goes straight for the pinnacle of accomplishment, calling its UO Smart Beam Laser Projector The World’s Smallest.

According to SK Telecom, mini projectors usually come with a maximum of 2 of the following 3 features: small size; high-resolution; and reasonable brightness. But the UO Smart Beam masters all three, largely by replacing the standard LED configuration other laser projectors use to display images with a laser diode to drive its advanced LCOS engine. They say this creates a projection screen that, at 60 lumens, “is actually bright enough to use in real life.” Finally! It’s like I’ve been telling everyone since 1997: I have one simple request. And that is to have miniature projectors with frickin’ laser beams attached to their heads! (Note: The UO Smart Beam uses Class 1 lasers, which are safe for human eyes. And other body parts.)

The UO Smart Beam’s laser diode also allows for focus-free use, plus folds in 720p HD projection for combined sharpness and brightness over an area of 100+ inches. it’s size: 2.2 inches. Cubed.

Projector connection occurs wirelessly, with compatibility extending to a range of devices, such as Miracast, DLNA, smartphones, laptops, and tablet PCs. Other mobile devices can also connect using the UO Smart Beam built-in HDMI port. A rechargeable battery gives the projector around 2 hours of runtime per charge. It also includes a built-in speaker along with ports for connecting to external audio devices.
