In place of a screen, the Glyph uses 2+ million micro-mirrors to reflect light and mimic natural human eyesight. A low-power light source beams the HD images through an optics system, and then onto the micro-mirrors, which shape, focus, and project the picture to your eyes. Avegant says their sight-replication approach not only delivers pixel-free images, but also makes seeing through the Glyph feel more like seeing the action firsthand, rather than watching it from behind a transparent barrier.
The Glyph has been designed to pair its clean, HD video with rich, hi-res audio as well. So you can use them just to listen to music on the rare occasions when enshrouding yourself in Game of Thrones and Pokemon Go aren’t options.
