Japan meets Russia in a bento lunch you can take to work matryoshka doll-style. Zojirushi’s stainless steel vacuum lunch jar will keep hot foods hot, cold foods cold, and, most importantly, foods you don’t want touching each other separated by walls of BPA-free plastic.
The lunch jar comes with 3 inner bowls sized small, medium, and large, and generally following the bento layout of soup in the large bottom bowl, rice / main dish in the middle, and side dish in the small bowl on top. The medium and large containers are designed to hold hot or cold foods, and are able to retain a 160-degree F temperature for around 6 hours. The small bowl is intended for room temperature foods. Zojirushi also throws in a set of chopsticks in a case, which latch onto the side of the thermos. Total jar capacity is 49 ounces.
