Fontus Self-Filling Water Bottles

$165,200.00

“Self-Generating Water Bottles” might be a better description of Fontus’ incredible new designs. Presuming they work as stated (this is another crowdfunding campaign after all), Fontus Airo and Ryde bottles don’t just fill themselves from some massive water reservoir you’re lugging around, they make their own water using a solar panel and fan system to capture and condense the moisture content in the air.

Not bad if you’re traveling light, down your last drop prematurely, or get stranded without water.

The Fontus Airo handheld bottle contains a small fan that sucks air in, and then filters and presses it into condensation chambers. There a series of small coolers condense the air’s moisture on “special surfaces” from which it can drip into the main body of the bottle. The lower section of the Airo is also designed to carry re-mineralization capsules for those who want to dissolve them in their harvested water.

The Fontus Ryde is bicycle-mounted version of the water bottle. It works similar to to Airo, but instead of using a built-in fan for drawing air in, it commandeers the air stream cyclists create while riding.

Fontus bottles seek IndieGoGo crowdfunding through mid-May 2016.
