Sure, the Scallion Knife by Kershaw comes in black. But the real draw of this high-performance pocket knife? It also comes in…no, not rainbow. RainBLOW. Now I don’t know if that stylization of the word is supposed to mean, like, a rainbow so awesome it will blow your mind, or the color scheme your eyes tend to see the world in after you’ve done some blow, or maybe Rainblow is just a typo. Whatever it is, I kind of like it. I also kind of like that the pot of gold at the end of this Rainblow is a high-carbon 420HC stainless steel blade. And since the Ken Onion Scallion Knife has a SpeedSafe ambidextrous assisted opening system, it’s a helluva lot easier to get to than the stuff those shifty leprechauns hide.
Intended for everyday carrying, Kershaw’s Scallion series incorporates a lighter weight polyimide handle and a Safety Tip Lock to keep the blade stored inside it. When the knife is open, a secure liner lock will keep the blade in place until you want it closed. Blade length is 2-1/4″, closed length 3-1/2″, and overall weight 2.3 ounces.
